# Reward banners

Show shoppers the gift card or store credit reward they'll earn, in the cart and at checkout.

Rewards campaigns issue a gift card or store credit after a qualifying order. These blocks make the reward visible **before** the purchase, so shoppers know what they are about to earn. All four stay hidden while no matching campaign is active, so they are safe to leave in place between campaigns.

## Cart banners (theme blocks)

* **Gift Card Reward Banner** — needs an active [Gift Card Rewards](/campaigns/gift-card-rewards.md) campaign. [Watch the demo](https://gcf-cdn.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/videos/gift-card-reward.mp4)
* **Store Credit Banner** — needs an active [Store Credit Rewards](/campaigns/store-credit-rewards.md) campaign. [Watch the demo](https://gcf-cdn.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/videos/store-credit-reward.mp4)

Both are added with one click from the **Extensions** page: the theme editor opens on your cart template with the block in place. Background, text and accent colours are theme-editor settings.

## Checkout blocks

{% hint style="info" %}
Checkout blocks are available to **Shopify Plus** stores only.
{% endhint %}

* **Gift Card Reward** — "Earn a Gift Card! Complete this order to get {{ amount }}". [Watch the demo](https://gcf-cdn.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/videos/checkout-gift-card-reward.mp4)
* **Store Credit Reward** — the same for store credit. [Watch the demo](https://gcf-cdn.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/videos/checkout-store-credit-reward.mp4)

To add one: **Settings → Checkout → Customize**, select the **Checkout** page, click **Add app block**, pick the block, place it and **Save**. The block stays invisible in the editor preview until a campaign is active.

## Translations

The banner text is edited per language in the app, not in the editor: open the block's detail page on the **Extensions** page and use the **Translations** tab. Use `{{ amount }}` as the placeholder for the reward value.
