# The Extensions page

One place to discover, install and check the status of every Gift Card Factory extension.

Open **Extensions** in the app navigation to see everything Gift Card Factory can add to your store, grouped by where it appears: Online Store, Checkout, Customer accounts, Shopify Admin, Point of Sale, extensions that run automatically, and Shopify Flow.

## What each card tells you

Every extension is a card with a short description, a status badge and one primary action:

* **Add to theme** opens the theme editor with the block already added — you only position it and click **Save**.
* **Open checkout editor**, **Open customer accounts editor** and similar open the right Shopify editor; the extension's detail page lists the exact steps.
* **Details** opens the detail page. **Demo** plays a short video of the extension in action.

If an extension needs something first — an active campaign, new customer accounts, the Shopify POS app — the card says so under *Needs* and links straight to it.

## What the status badges mean

The page is honest about what it can and cannot know:

| **Installed on Live theme** / **Not installed** | Verified by reading the selected theme's template files. Use the theme selector on the Online Store group to check a draft theme.                                                                     |
| **Required · Not installed**                    | A Gift Card Postman campaign is active but its block is missing from the selected theme.                                                                                                              |
| **Active · last seen …**                        | The extension called the app recently, so it is in place and being used. Shopify does not report where checkout, customer-account, POS and admin extensions are placed, so this is inferred from use. |
| **Not detected yet**                            | The extension has not been used on your store yet. This does not mean it isn't installed.                                                                                                             |
| **Used N times**                                | Counted from actions the app processed, for example refunds or Flow actions.                                                                                                                          |
| **Available** / **Available in Flow**           | Ready to use; nothing to detect.                                                                                                                                                                      |
| **Enabled in Flow** / **In use by N campaigns** | A Flow workflow or campaign is using this trigger.                                                                                                                                                    |

## Search and filters

Use the search field to find an extension by name, what it does or where it appears. Filter by **Surface**, **Status** or **Needs a campaign**. Any active filter flattens the groups into one list.

## The detail page

Each extension has a detail page with:

* **Before you start** — prerequisites with their current state and a direct link to fix each one.
* **What it does** and, where available, a demo video.
* **How to add it** — one-click for theme blocks, numbered steps for editors and POS, or a note when nothing needs to be placed.
* **Status** — per-theme rows for theme blocks with **Add** / **Manage** links; a **Verify** button re-checks after you save in the theme editor.
* **Settings** — the block's settings and their defaults. Values are edited in the Shopify editor, not in the app.
* **Translations** — for blocks with customer-facing copy (reward banners), a tab to edit the text per language.

## Plans

Extensions work on every plan and during the trial. If your trial has ended and no plan is active, the page shows a warning that extensions may stop working; nothing is switched off. Checkout blocks and the Gift Card Custom Amount function are **Shopify Plus** features and are only shown to Plus and development stores.
