# Adjust balance

Add to, deduct from or set a gift card's balance from the gift card page in Shopify Admin.

Adjust balance is an **admin action** on every gift card page in Shopify Admin. It appears under **More actions** as soon as Gift Card Factory is installed — there is nothing to place.

## Using it

1. Open a gift card in Shopify Admin (**Products → Gift cards**).
2. Choose **Adjust balance** under **More actions**.
3. Pick **Add to balance**, **Deduct from balance** or **Set balance to**, enter the amount and confirm. The new balance is previewed before you save.

Deductions cannot take a balance below zero, and changing the balance of a disabled card does not re-enable it.
